Below is how the track
is laid out now.
For those of you who
remember, the track has
not always looked like
it does now. The
picture to the right is
both the original track
layout (which was the
same for around 35
years), with an overlay
of how it was after the first
change roughly 2 years
ago. Now it looks
more like the picture
below. You can see
actual pictures
here.
Here's
a breakdown of the
track now. The first
straight is long and
fast. There is a
roller out of the gate,
but lots of pedaling can
be done before hitting
it. After that,
still more pedaling,
before hitting a large
table top. The
"Table" is tall and
long, but not too hard
to get over safely.
The Big step-up comes
next right before the
first turn. That
leads into a couple of
nice sized doubles and
step-up/step-down
leading into the second
turn. The "Rhythm"
section in the third
straight is deep and
technical. Being
smooth through this
section is very
important. The
last straight has a
small double and small
step-up to round out all
the obstacles.
The turns are all sharp,
fast and smooth. They
are all paved, and all
have a nice slope and
angle that make them a
blast to ride.

past" photos in the
